Henrietta Marie Tobacco-Cross Dog was born on April 26, 1945 in Pine Ridge, SD to Vincent Tobacco and Irene (Wounded) Tobacco. Henrietta made her journey to the Spirit World on May 10, 2017 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD

Henrietta is survived by her spouse, Linn Cross Dog of Calico, SD; sons, Linn Cross Dog, Jr. and Cory Tobacco both of Calico, SD; daughters, Linnetta Cross Dog, Mona Cross Dog, and Sue Ann Cross Dog all of Calico, SD; brothers, Harold Tobacco of Calico, SD; sisters, Regina

Tobacco and Karen Tobacco both of Calico, SD; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Irene Tobacco; brothers, Calvin Tobacco, Vincent Tobacco, Jr., and Dugan Tobacco; and sister, Bernadette Tobacco.

A one-night wake service was held for Henrietta at 12:00 PM, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Red Cloud School Small Gymnasium, Pine Ridge, SD. Funeral services took place at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Pine Ridge, SD., with Father Peter Klink, S.J., Father Rick Abert, S.J., and Sister Barb Bogenschutz officiating and traditional Lakota services conducted by Mr. Sam Long. Burial services concluded at the Cross Dog Family Cemetery, Calico, SD.
