~Weldine ‘Wee Wee’ Holy Bear~

RAPID CITY - Weldine "Wee Wee" Holy Bear, 61, Rapid City, died Sunday, April 27, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Heath, Rapid City; one daughter, Jolene Heath, Iowa; two brothers, David Red Starr Jr., Sioux Falls, and Cornell Red Starr, Minnesota; three sisters, Shirley Marshall and Karen Red Starr, both of Kyle, and Joann Brothers, Minnesota; special friend, Steve "Babe" Hernandez, Rapid City; and five grandchildren.

A one-night wake will be Thursday, May 1, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall in Kyle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Our Lady of Sorrows Hall.

Burial will be at the Red Starr Family Cemetery in Kyle.

Sioux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.




~Howard Bobtail Bear~

YUMA, Ariz. - Howard Bobtail Bear, 56, Yuma and formerly of Little Eagle died Saturday, April 19 at Yuma Regional Hospital in Yuma.

Wake services were April 25, at the Blue Gym in Little Eagle.

Funeral services were April 26, at the gym.

Burial was at St. Paul's Episcopal Cemetery in Little Eagle. Oster Funeral Home in Mobridge was in charge of arrangements.




~Baby Girl Brings Him Back~

OGLALA - Baby Girl Brings Him Back, infant daughter of Brian and Denise Brings Him Back, Oglala, was stillborn Wednesday, April 9 at Pine Ridge Hospital.
Survivors include her parents; and six brothers, Chris Brings Him Back, BJ Brings Him Back, Patrick Brings Him Back, Adriano Brings Him Back, Aaron Brings Him Back, all of Oglala, and Andre Gibbons, Pine Ridge.

Wake services were Sunday, April 27, at the Brings Him Back residence in Oglala.

Funeral services were Monday, April 28, at the residence, with the Rev. Agnes Tyon officiating.

Burial was at St. John's Episcopal Cemetery in Oglala.

Sioux Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.




~Dale Duchscherer~

RED SCAFFOLD - Dale Duchscherer, 49, of Red Scaffold, died Thursday, April 24, at his home.

Mass of Christian burial was April 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Scaffold with Fr. Brian Lane and Deacon Ted Knife, Sr.

Burial was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Red Scaffold. Survivors include his wife Sheila Collins of Red Scaffold; daughters: Mary Duchscherer, Dale Duchscherer and Dayne Collins all of Red Scaffold; son: Charles Brown; father: William Duchscherer of Minot, N.D.; mother-in-law Phyllis Collins.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte was in charge of arrangements.
